Roselyn Peacock

Roselyn Harrell Peacock, 80, of Strasburg, VA passed away with her daughter Janice by her side on December 29, 2025.

Roselyn was born in Weymouth, MA on November 23, 1945, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen Lavery Mollica. Roselyn moved to Florida in her younger years, before making Strasburg, VA home in 1987. She loved her family and enjoyed quality time together. Horses were a big part of Roselyn’s life. She was a 4H Leader Esquire, taught horseback riding and showmanship, as well as attended and competed in many horse shows. Her horses Bo and Blue, as well as her cat Fox meant the world to her. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her Aunt Arline Lavery.

She is survived by her children Janice Sager (Scottie), Donna Haste (Robert); her grandchildren Kristen Fuller, Katilyn Jacobs, Kelly Jacobs; her great-grandchildren Brayden Werner, Logan Werner, Aleyna Scurto, Alyvia Scurto; her siblings Meredith Joslin, Ross Thornley (Bonnie); her nieces, Karissa Thornley, Leanne Petrouske (Chris), Jennifer Baldwin, and her nephew Scott Joslin.  

A funeral service for Mrs. Peacock will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
