Ronald "Hotdog" Hockman

Ronald Bruin (Hotdog) Hockman, 81 of Star Tannery, VA passed away June 18, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Ronald was born July 15, 1942, to the late Bruin and Hilda Hockman.  Ronald worked for many years at Chemstone as a shift foreman up until his retirement.  He loved hunting and went on many hunting trips throughout his life.  He also enjoyed playing ball in his younger years and enjoyed watching baseball on TV.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Keith Hockman.

Ronald is survived by his wife Evelyn Hockman whom he married on December 20, 1986, his children Jeffrey W. Hockman, Rhonda J. Hockman Morse and fiancé (Kenny Terrell), Michelle Sargent and her husband (Kevin Switzer), Christy Adams, her stepchildren Debbra Gray, Bobby Copeland, Mike Copeland and David Copeland; his grandchildren Jennifer Stead, Sarah Stead, Ronnie Sargent, Melissa Sargent, Chase Louver and Savanah Adams; his step granddaughters Tara Brill Greene, Michelle Brill Robinson, Christy Funk and Nicole Copeland; his sister Kay Drummonds; numerous great and great-great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Hockman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Gravel Springs Cemetery, Star Tannery, VA.  A meal will be provided by the women of the church afterwards. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.
