Ronald Hiserman
Ronald W. Hiserman, 80, a life-long resident of Waynesboro, VA, died on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born in Waynesboro on July 25, 1944, a son of the late Lyle W. and Helen (Homan) Hiserman.
Mr. Hiserman graduated from Waynesboro High School, Chown College, Murfressboro, NC and attended East Carolina College in Greenville, NC. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Hiserman was a also a proud Eagle Scout. He retired in 2005 from many years of working retail in the Waynesboro and Staunton area. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Bagby) Hiserman and one brother, Robert Lyle Hiserman.
Surviving are his nephews, Robert A “Tony” Hiserman and wife, Katherine B. Hiserman and Christopher W. Hiserman; sister-in-law, Lois (Bogan) Hiserman; as well as extended family and friends.
Following cremation, a graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 2pm on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 601 W. Main St., Waynesboro, VA 22980, for up-keep for the Tower Chimes and Carillon and/ or the Mosby Foundation, P.O. Box 218, Deerfield, VA, 24432, in honor of Blue and in memory of Alex and Reggie, his beloved dogs.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
