Robin Voorhees
Robin Renee Voorhees, 67, of Fishersville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, December 11,2025 surrounded by love. She was born on March 28, 1957, in Waynesboro, Virginia, to the late Basil Bosserman and Lorraine Bosserman.
Robin was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was married for 25 years to Robert Voorhees, with whom she shared many memories and seasons of life. Family was the center of Robin’s world, and her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Wheeler, and her father, Basil Bosserman.
Robin is survived by her loving mother, Lorraine Bosserman; her daughters , Jessica Lewis (Daniel Lewis), and her stepdaughters, Felicia Jones and Brittany Voorhees; her sons, Dennis McVey, Jacob Bickel (Miranda Bickel), and Austin Botley Voorhees. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren— five grandsons and two granddaughters—who brought immense joy to her life.
Robin had a deep love for her friends, who became chosen family throughout her life. She adored her animals and found comfort and joy in caring for them. Butterflies held a special place in her heart, symbolizing beauty, change, and peace—something many will forever associate with her. A proud graduate of Wilson Memorial High School, Robin spent much of her working life at Waffle House, where she was known for her strong work ethic, familiar smile, and genuine care for coworkers and customers alike. To many, she was more than an employee—she was family. Robin will be remembered for her resilience, her straightforward honesty, her warmth, and the deep love she carried for those closest to her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
