Robert Lee "Whitey, Sparky" Davis

Robert Lee "Whitey, Sparky" Davis, 90, of Weyers Cave, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at his home.

He was born on July 11, 1935 and was a son of Robert W. and Lottie (Hottinger) Davis.

Sparky retired in 2020 from Houff Transfer. He was a member of Weyers Cave United Methodist Church, where he had been a member of the choir, and United Methodist Men and served on the Board of Trustees and the Church Council. He served his country in the US Marine Corp and the National Guard. Whitey was a member of the Stuarts Draft Moose.

Whitey was united in marriage on October 20, 1961 to Mildred (Riggleman) Davis.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Dale "D. R." Davis & wife Katrina; his grandson, Spenser Davis, & wife Emily; his great granddaughter, Maisie Davis; nephew Michael Bailey and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Davis, Andy Davis, and Stephen Davis.

A service celebrating Whitey's life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Weyers Cave United Methodist with Rev. Amy Pannell and Rev. Kathleen Michael officiating. Burial will follow at Weyers Cave Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
