Robert L. "Jake" Swartz

Robert L. "Jake" Swartz, 85, of Mt. Crawford, VA passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Phoenix at Harrisonburg. He was the son of Paul and Mary Milstead Swartz. He was employed by Reynolds Metal in Grottoes, VA for many years.

He loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also loved his house, dogs, and very much loved his last dog, Missy, that passed away.

Jake was married to the former Audrey Showalter, who passed away January 5, 2014. He is survived by two sons, Robert Ray Swartz, and Theodore Wayne Swartz; a brother, Lawrence and wife, Vicki Swartz; a sister, Doris J. Riggleman; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul W. Swartz, Jr., and Norman Wayne Swartz.

Jake attended Clover Hill School.

Friends and family are welcome to visit Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes anytime Monday June 24th until Wed. June 26th, between 9 AM and 5 PM to pay their respects, but the burial will be private.
