Rita Ann Mettinano Gray

Rita Ann Mettinano Gray, 95, of Bridgewater, VA passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Serenity Home Care in Mt. Solon.

Rita was born in Upper Darby, PA on July 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Mary (D'Amico) and Dominic Antonio Mettinano.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg, where she volunteered in the nursery for many years and in numerous other areas of the church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary in Bridgewater.

She was united in marriage on September 3, 1950 to Walter W. Gray, who preceded her in death on January 3, 1986

Rita is survived by two daughters, Jeanne G. Ritchie and husband Mike, Maryanne Davis and husband Todd, two sons Richard S. Gray and wife Gloria, and William D. Gray and wife Pat; a sister, Anna Pirato; a God child, Helen Bernhardt. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be celebrated with father Silvio Kaberia officiating, at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 27th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will be held following the service.
