Ricky Lee Steelman

Ricky Lee Steelman, Sr. 61, husband of Lara (Strain) Steelman of Hudson Avenue, Staunton, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 in Staunton. 
Mr. Steelman was born in Newton, North Carolina on December 17, 1963, a son of Fred Edward Steelman and the late Brenda (Hefner) Steelman.
Ricky was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge 171 in Covington and was employed as the regional sales manager for Monster Energy. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, loved Jesus and was a Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 10 years, and his father of Glendale Spring, North Carolina, is a son, Ricky Lee Steelman, Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Nellysford; a daughter, Ashely Nicole Silva of Harrisonburg; a step-son, Adam Layer and his fiancée Raven Smith of Staunton; his step mother, Fran Steelman; seven grandchildren, Luke Steelman, Noah Steelman, Chloe Walker, Colton Walker, Brantley Moore, Penelope Steelman and Asher Layer; a brother, Mark Steelman of Hubert, North Carolina; a sister, Tina Renee Steelman of Hickory, North Carolina; and a special cousin, Jeff Hefner of Taylorsville, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Crossroads Baptist Church by Pastor Heath Spivey. 
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to a charity of ones choice in care of Ricky Steelman.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
