Richard "Bursey" B. Morral

Richard Burrel "Bursey" Morral Jr., 63, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

He was born on June 19, 1962 and was a son of the late Richard Burrel Morral, Sr. and Janet Elaine (Caricofe) Morral.

Richard was a dedicated worker at CP&P (formerly Valley Blocks) for 46 years. Ricky loved to hunt, fish and was great at canning. He enjoyed his weekly poker game.

Richard is survived by his nephew, who was like a son to him, Jody Bible & wife Lydia. 5 grandchildren, Kendelynn Bible, Priscilla Robinson, Skii Bible, J. R. Anderson, and Kyli Whitacre; aunts, Donna Chandler and Patsy Londeree; and uncle, Roy F. "Buster" Caricofe & wife Trudy; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burrel & Ruby Morral, aunts, Norma Caricofe, Jean Martz, Margaret McCauley, Ella Miller, Phyllis Johnson, Mildred Rife, Mary Lee Ewing and Adaline Hilbert; uncles, Marvin "Bud" Caricofe, Charles Caricofe and Johnny Morral.

A service celebrating Bursey's life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with David Kite officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday, September 22, 2025.
