Raul Lopez

Raul Lopez, 39, of Fishersville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his home. He was born in Mexico on July 1, 1986, to Agustin Lopez and Margarita Lopez of Mexico.

Raul was a heavy equipment mechanic with Blue Ridge Lumber. He loved to work whether as a mechanic, in landscaping or just helping a friend. Raul truly loved spending time with his family, going to the park or going to yard sales.

Raul had two special friends, Mark Clark and Wayne Clements, who were more like family to him and he loved these men as if they were his brothers.

He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife of 14 years, Jessica Lopez, they have been together for more than 21 years, and their children, Elena, age 12, Gabriela, age 11 and Agustin, age 2, all of Fishersville, Virginia; two brothers, Samuel Lopez and his spouse and Arturo Lopez and his spouse, all of Mexico and a total of 13 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home and Crematory, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, Virginia.
