Randolph "Scott" Branch
Randolph “Scott” Branch, 72, of Palmyra, Fluvanna County, VA passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born in Waynesboro on April 1, 1954, a son of the late Randolph and Stella “Christine” Branch.
Scott worked as a truck driver with Allied Ready Mix for 13 years until his retirement in 2002. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing, motorcycles, reading his bible, going to yard sales, scenic car rides, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Rachel and Shelby.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Melinda Branch; children: Rachel Branch of Buckingham County, Christy and her husband, Kevin of Palmyra, Dale and her husband, Travis of Palmyra, Deborah and her husband, Anthony of Crimora, Barbie Welcher; Randy and Heath Branch; grandchildren: Nay, Exzaiver, Bubba, Chels, Liyah, Mariah, Alexis, Bugg, Ny, Bri, Reni, Miyah, Gabby, Lil Scott, Lexi, Isaiah, Jared, Jake, Zack, Raven, Stella,and Lilly; great grandchildren: Lakelynn, Alyssa, Tay, Cam and Anna; special aunt, Georgie Cash of Fishersville, Eugene and Sandra Branch of Nelson County, Danny Brown, Sr of Crimora.; nephew, Roy Wayne of Lynchburg; pets, Anna Mae and Sky.
There will be no formal services.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Scott’s nurse, Sarah, Dr. Joseph Kerley, Dr. Kris Put, Dr. Andrew Mihalek, and all the staff with UVA and Hospice of the Piedmont for their compassionate care.
