Philomena "Deisenbeck" Davis

February 14, 1931 - October 28, 2023

Philomena (Deisenbeck) Davis, 92, formerly of Staunton, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at The Retreat at Fishersville. 
Mrs. Davis was born in Munich, Germany on February 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Fron Deisenbeck and Monika Freund.
Philomena met James Davis while he was in service in Germany. Together, they came back across the water and married. 
Philomena retired from Genesco. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, fishing and hunting.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by James Davis; a daughter, Eugenia Erica Collins; and her partner until his passing, Buck Humphreys.
Surviving, are two daughters, Monika Marie Argenbright and her husband, Gary of Churchville and Penny Spearman and her husband, Wade of Verona; six grandchildren, Robert “Peanut” Collins, JD Collins, Jimmy Rawley, Brandon Argenbright, Cresta Hipes, and Kaycee Spearman; numerous great-grandchildren; a niece, Monika Glaser of Germany; and dear friends, Donna Campbell and Jennifer Tinder.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Golden Clark.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert Collins, JD Collins, Jimmy Rawley, and Brandon Argenbright and Richard Hipes and Hunter Tinder. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling her arrangements.
