Peggy Hackett

Peggy Hackett, 83, of Fishersville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Fishersville. She was born December 17, 1942 in Huntington, New York, daughter of the late Magne Twedt and the late Alpha Brown Twedt.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family and pets.

She is survived by her son, Bill Carleton of Staunton; her daughter, Jill Carleton Smith and son-in-law, Doug Smith, both of Fishersville and her grandson, Ben Smith.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and friends at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation.

There will be no formal services.
