Patsy Maxine "Pat" Kelly Jones

Patsy Maxine “Pat” (Kelly) Jones, 84, wife of Charles Edward Jones, Jr., of Verona, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Jones was born in Auburn, Kansas on March 13, 1939, a daughter of the late Zell Ira Kelly and Emily (Washington) Kelly.

Pat was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and taught bible school for many years at Laurel Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, babysitting, entertaining, flowers and eating out.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ard.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 65 years, is a son, Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Jones and his wife, Tammy of Fishersville; a daughter, Angie Jones and her husband, Rick Pino of Sebastian, Florida; two brothers, Frank Kelly and his wife, Ada of Auburn, Kansas and Ira Kelly of Rossville, Kansas; a step-grandson, Josh Lohr of Broadway, Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in St. James Lutheran Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Scott VanLear, Dallas VanLear, Richard Jones, Bill Sullivan, Joe McCue, and Rick Pino.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Virginia Chapter (5540 Falmouth Street, Suite 101, Richmond, Virginia 23230), St. James Lutheran Church (320 St. James Road, Fishersville, Virginia 22939), or Parkinson Disease Association (4560 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462).

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
