Orville "Oj" Wade

October 9, 1945 - June 29, 2024

Orville Janny Wade Jr., went to his eternal home on June 29th, 2024.

OJ was the first born child of Orville and Marguerite Wade; he was born on October 9th, 1945.

He was a graduate of Nelson County High School.

He married Betty Small on Sept. 7th 1966 and enlisted in the US Army in 1967. Later, he was a member of Waynesboro Police Department. Then he was employed by E.I. DuPont for 28 years, until his retirement from supervision. He also helped David McGann well drilling for a brief time. OJ ended his employment 2021 as security for Devils Backbone Brewery.

OJ leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Betty Ann Small Wade; two sons, Clayton Wade of Nellysford, Virginia and Kevin Wade of Gladstone, Virginia; his brothers, Clyde Wade of Winnsboro, South Carolina and Bliss Wade of Nellysford, Virginia; his sister, Mildred Wade Nellysford, Virginia and his sister in law, Charles’ wife, Cindy Wade of Waynesboro, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kullen Alexander Wade, Crimora, Virginia and Jillian Wade, of Arrington Virginia; his step grandson, Stephen Andes of Waynesboro Virginia; his great grandchildren, Emmalyn, Adalyn, and Noah Wade of Crimora, Virginia; his nephew, Jeff Wade; his nieces,

Amanda Clark, Christine Wade, Lisa Davis Miller and Dana Small; his brother in law, Clayton Small; his sister-in-law, Joyce Small Davis; special devoted friend, Cathy Sergrist of Arrington, Virginia; special friend, Alec Christian and wife, Anne. He will also be missed by his cherished

dog, Duddy, and cats, JR, and Ughly.

He loved animals, gardening, fishing, and especially racing times with Kullen.

OJ was preceded in death by his parents, OJ, Sr. and Marguerite Wade of Nellysford Virginia and his brother, Charles R. Wade of Waynesboro Virginia.

He will be truly missed by his loved ones and a host of friends.

God has OJ in his forever home,

We meet again, never forgotten.
