Nelda Jane (Terry) Daggy
Nelda “Jane” (Terry) Daggy, 78, widow of Colin Whitney Daggy, formerly of Railroad Avenue, Deerfield, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Augusta Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Daggy was born in Augusta County, Virginia on October 6, 1947, daughter of the late Garland Rio Terry and Myrtle Kathryn (Carroll) Terry.
Jane attended Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Millboro and Deerfield Church of God. Mrs. Daggy worked for many years as a beautician and later as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time playing bingo, singing, and working on puzzles, activities that brought her joy and friendship with others. Jane will be remembered as a loving grandmother and a friend to everyone.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Daggy was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson D. Terry; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Puffenbarger and Margaret Frances Glenn; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Dillon and Charlie Glenn.
Surviving, are two daughters, Rachel Elizabeth Davis and her husband, Randall of North Carolina, and Janita Whitney Daggy of Staunton; three grandchildren, Elijah Bradley Davis, Charles Matthew Davis, and Sarah Elizabeth Davis; three sisters, Donna Jack and her husband, Steve of Deerfield, Judy Foxx and her husband, Harry Lee of Mt. Solon, and Sue Terry of Mt. Solon; sister-in-law, Connie Terry of Staunton; a brother-in-law, Butch Puffenbarger of Sugar Grove, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Merle Dodson and Reverend John Staubus.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
