Nancy Lee (Cash) Jennings
Nancy Lee (Cash) Jennings, 86, widow of Gordon Stinson Jennings, Jr., of Branchlands Drive, Charlottesville and formerly of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Buena Vista, Virginia on January 21, 1938 a daughter of the late Marion “Dick” Cash and Margaret (Brown) Cash Steigel.
Nancy was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery “loving on her babies”. She was a homemaker at heart and, years ago, worked as a cashier at Sears. In her free time, Nancy found joy in crafting and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, and husband of 63 years, Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by three infant sons and a sister, Sue Blackwell (Cash) Clemmer.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Jennings) Quinn and her husband, Stephen of Charlottesville and Leigh Ann Lissard and her husband, Scott of Lafayette, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Hannah Quinn, Holly (Quinn) Donaldson and her husband, Matt, and Gordon Lissard; two great-grandchildren, Finnley and Harper Donaldson; two sisters, Barbara Economos of Charlottesville and Dixie Johnson and her husband, Mike of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Augusta Memorial Park by Reverend Todd Latham.
There will be no public viewing.
