Monica Samuel
Monica Lynn (Cook) Samuel, 59, of Staunton, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Regancy at Augusta in Fishersville. She was born on February 27, 1964, a daughter of Kenneth Raymond Cook and Josephine Ann Cook.
Moncia was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School. She worked as a production worker with Hershey until her retirement. Monica enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Buster. She also enjoyed going to the racetrack.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons, James Bradley Samuel of Vesuvius and Justin Lee Samuel of Staunton; grandchildren: Anastasia Lynn Samuel, Cheyenne Storm Samuel, Jamison Frank Marello, and Phoenix James Samuel; siblings: Kenneth Michael Cook, Cynthia Ann Goodwin, and Kevin Weade; as well as extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1601 New Hope Rd., Staunton, to celebrate Monica’s life.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff with Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and the nursing staff at the Regency at Augusta for the loving care they provided to Monica and her family.
Monica was god’s gift to the world. She was a kind hearted person, loving mother, and a caring friend to many. She will be missed dearly by those luckily enough to have known her.
