Michael Keith Slifer

Michael Keith Slifer, 63, of Mc Gaheysville, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Blue Ridge Nursing & Rehab.

He was born on February 15, 1962 and was a son of Kenneth Slifer. Sr and the late Betty (Miller) Slifer.

Michael worked at Danone in Mt. Crawford. He loved to play golf, was an avid fan of the Rams and Orioles, and enjoyed the outdoors. Michael had fun and played jokes on everyone. He loved sitting on the swing and watching the hummingbirds. His greatest gift was being a devoted, husband, father, son, brother and grandpa.

Michael was united in marriage to Debra "Wampler" Slifer.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father is his son, Christopher Slifer & wife Pamela; step-daughter, April Riley & husband Mike; step-son, Mason Martin, III & fiancé Tanya Landrum; two brothers, Kenneth Slifer, Jr. and Kevin Slifer; granddaughter, Althea Slifer; step-grandchildren, Mikayla Martin, Daniel Landrum, Leighann Landrum, Abigail Landrum, Silas Asbury, Nickolai Asbury, and Michelle Riley; great step-granddaughter, Eleni Landrum and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his doggie, Maverick. He went everywhere possible with him.

A service celebrating Michael's life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Wayne Wright officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McGaheysville Ruritan Club or the Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA.
