Michael Hartless

Michael W. Hartless, 52, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on July 11, 1972, a son of Doris Hartless Ralston and Steve Terrell.

Michael attended Stuarts Draft High School and achieved his GED. He worked as a construction worker with his uncle’s construction business. Michael also worked as a small engine mechanic for Townscape in Norfolk. He was a member of Rejoicing Life Church and enjoyed going camping in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Mary Coffey Hartless; and a cousin, Jacob Hartless.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his step-father, Forrest Ralston; siblings: Brian M. Ralston (Amber ) of Lyndhurst, Amber Ralston Campbell (Justin) of Fishersville, and Steve Terrell, Jr. of Waynesboro ; nieces and nephews: Taiyton and Saydee Ralston and Marley and Axl Campbell; aunt, Alice Ramsey (Pat) ; uncles: Ernest Hartless (Barbara), Warren Hartless (Kim), and Robert Hartless (JoAnn); special cousin, Caroline See; close friend, Richard “Kasey” Shields; as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Rejoicing Life Church, 116 Draft Ave, Stuarts Draft, with Pastor Mike Lawson officiating.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Kasey for his friendship with Michael and to Michael’s church family for the fellowship and prayers.
