Mia Schima (Shaw) Ralston

Mia Schima (Shaw) Ralston, 59, wife of David Hutton Ralston, of Crestwood Drive, Churchville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Ralston was born in Vallejo, California on September 17, 1965 a daughter of Rosemary (Taylor) Shaw and the late Gary Shaw.
Mia was a former school bus driver for the Augusta County Public School System for 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, and doing home projects.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Ralston was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Shaw of Staunton. 
Surviving Mrs. Ralston, in addition to her mother, and husband of 25 years, is a son, Ryan Shaw and his wife, Stephanie of Staunton; a daughter, Tori Brannon of Norfolk; a step-son, David H. Ralston, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Nina Shaw, Courtney Ralston and Kylie Ralston; a brother, Shannon Shaw; and two sisters, Korena Martin of Stuarts Draft and Teela Hardin of Kentucky.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend William “Bill” Trice.
The family will receive friends following the service.
