Mary Alice (Ashby) Berry

Mary Alice (Ashby) Berry, 88, widow of Woodrow Lee Berry, of Fishersville, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her residence. 
Mrs. Berry was born in Ohio on January 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Meredith C. Ashby, Sr. and Lois Evelyn (Young) Ashby.
Mary was a member of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church and retired from H & R Contractors. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and going to casinos. 
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by a son, Douglas L. Berry; a granddaughter, Tiffany Dawn Fullan; three brothers, Charles Ashby, M.C. “Jimmy” Ashby, Jr., and Albert Randolph “Butch” Ashby, Sr.; and two sisters, Barbara Lee Landes and Shirley Landrum.
Surviving, are three daughters, Lois Ann Fullan of Weyers Cave, Wanda B. Moore of Verona, and Frances Berry of Staunton; two sisters, Evelyn (Ashby) Jack and her husband, William of Fishersville and Helen (Ashby) Johnson of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Aaron Moore and his friend, Ashley Lawson, Nathan Fullan and his wife, Amanda, and Courtney Berry and her friend, Travis Kisamore; and five great-grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, Braylee, Oaklynn, and Reid.
A private graveside service will be held in Augusta Memorial Park.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
