Margaret Dodson

Margaret Cecile Dodson, 85, of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home in Strasburg.

Mrs. Dodson was born in Annadale, VA on April 16, 1940, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Edna Frances Mauck Dodson and worked as a waitress for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Garland, a daughter Melody June Wright and her siblings Pauline Leonard, Carlton Dodson, Gloria Pearson, Beverly Griffin, Betty Smith, Carolyn Smith.

Survivors include her children Nadine J. Knight (Pete), Timothy Dale Via, Anthony Scott Via, Robert Allen Via, and Jonathan Dwayne Via (Natayia); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sibling Marie Hensley (Junior), along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Mrs. Dodson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 18, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Little Georgetown Cemetery 5370 Trapp Branch Rd, Broad Run, VA 20137.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Josh Knight, Austin Crane, Joshua Knight, Jr., Jonathan Via, Jr., London Bryant-Knight, Russell Leonard, Patrick Knight and Michael Martin.
