Lynn Fleisher Slaven
Lynn Fleisher Slaven, 86, of Weyers Cave, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Bridgewater Home.
He was born on November 19, 1938 and was a son of the late Harry B. Slaven, Jr. and Clara (Hopkins) Slaven.
Lynn graduated from Turner Ashby High School, Class of 1957. He was a truck driver, and proud member of the Teamsters. He drove for Dayton Transport and retired from Smith's Transfer. He was a member of Summit Church of the Brethren, where he had been a deacon and was past president of the Men's Fellowship. He served his country in the National Guard. Lynn was on the founding committee for the Brethren Disaster Auction and was an avid blood donor.
Lynn was united in marriage for 64 years to Audrey Craun Slaven.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Jeffrey Slaven & wife Dana; three grandchildren, Morgan Slaven & fiance' Jason Arehart, Marshall Slaven & wife Joy, and Madison Slaven Coffey & husband Garrett; great grandchildren, Leah Slaven, Kaylee Slaven, Quinn Slaven and Ella Coffey; sister, Nancy Slaven Hepner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service in remembrance of Lynn's life will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Summit Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tim Craver officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
