Lynda Lough Heestand

Lynda Anne Lough Heestand, 74, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, June 20,

2024 at Augusta Health Hospital.

She was born on October 1, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Iva

(Casidy) Lough.

Lynda retired from Wilson Workforce Rehabilitation Center and was an avid

collector of Precious Moments figurines.

She was united in marriage to David Leroy Heestand, who preceded her in death on August 14, 2023.

Lynda is survived by a brother, Billy Lough and his wife, Nancy, of Harrisonburg,

and their children Keith Lough, Michele Butcher and Kelly Fuller.

Lynda is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Gruszecki, of Ohio; nieces

and nephews, Richard, Robin, Randy, and Rhonda Gruszecki, and Keith and Brad

Heestand.

She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Heestand and wife,

Glenda; nephew, William Heestand, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Beverly Gruszecki.

A service celebrating Lynda's life will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024,

at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Bridgewater, with Pastor

Danny Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the

service. Private burial will follow at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
