Lynda Lou (Dixey) Diehl

October 19, 1958 - November 26, 2024

Lynda Lou (Dixey) Diehl, 66, wife of Samuel Milton Diehl of Staunton, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 26, 2024, at Augusta Health surrounded by her family.  
She was born in Levittown, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1958. She is the daughter of the late Louis H. Dixey, Jr. and Marilyn E. Canham of Colorado. 
Lynda was an avid gardener of produce and flowers, loved making jewelry and selling at local vendor shows; she enjoyed crafting and cooking and adored attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. She was the center of her family and the glue that holds them together. Lynda never met a stranger and would befriend everyone she met. Her presence made the world a better place. 
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Charles Dixey.  
In addition to her loving husband of 44 years, she is survived by her three sons, Michael and wife, Michelle of Staunton, Russell and wife, Lindsey of Waynesboro and Chris “Critter” and wife, Devin of Bridgewater; as well as her seven grandchildren, Lauren Wood, Courteney Morris, Alex Diehl and girlfriend, Miki Swanson, Jaxon Diehl, Lydia and Aliya Wiseman, and Nolan Diehl.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at their residence. 
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at St. James Lutheran Church by Pastor Gordon Putnam.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Joseph Hendricks, Winston Whitecotton, Corey Smallwood, Chris Keller, Michael Porch, Mark Grove, Chris Broce, and Adam Cash. 
Honorary pallbearers will be John Wright, John Grove, David Diehl, Ivan Diehl, Alex Diehl, Webber Payne, Jaxon Diehl, and Danny Snyder.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 320 St. James Road, Fishersville, VA 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
