Louise Josephine (Myers) Dull

September 20, 1928 - February 18, 2026

Louise Josephine (Myers) Dull, 97, widow of Dennis William Dull, Jr. of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 
Mrs. Dull was born in Augusta County, Virginia on September 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Harry Lee Myers, Sr. and Hattie Alberta (Curd) Myers. 
Louise was a 1947 graduate of Fishersville High School — the last graduating class of the school — where she distinguished herself as captain of the basketball team her senior year and was voted “Best Cook” by the Class of 1947. She faithfully served at Riverheads Elementary School in the cafeteria until her retirement in 1993, where she was known for her warm spirit and dedication to the students and staff. A longtime member of Mint Spring United Methodist Church, she lived her faith through service and fellowship. Louise had a creative and active spirit; she enjoyed refinishing furniture, chair caning, basket weaving, gardening, crocheting, and participating in senior aerobics. Her energy, kindness, and wide-ranging talents left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 
In addition to her parents and husband of 42 years, Mrs. Dull was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Alberta Bosserman and her twin brother, Elizabeth Octavia Brooks, and Harry Lee Myers, Jr; and sister-in-law, Mary Matthews Dull.
Surviving, is a son, Dennis William Dull, III and his wife, Diane Lynn of Verona; three daughters, Teresa D. Quarles and her husband, Lane of Aylett, VA, Denise L. Dull of Harrisonburg, and Vicki D. York and her husband, Joseph of Staunton; six grandchildren, Linsey Inman and her husband, Zach, Natasha R. Fernandez, Katie Quarles and her husband, Christopher Hall, Evan N. York, Emma P.  York, and Seth M. Fernandez; a great-grandson, Aiden Inman; two sisters-in-law, Judy Young and Mary Margaret Dull; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Mint Spring United Methodist Church by Pastor Spencer Black.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
