Lois Jean Jantzi

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Jean Jantzi, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Lois peacefully departed this world on November 23, 2023, at the age of 66, surrounded by her beloved family.

Lois was born on March 2, 1957, in Lancaster, PA, daughter to the late Henry B. and Marian (Garber) Leaman. She was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to the noble profession of nursing, leaving an indelible impact on the lives of countless patients, particularly children. Lois was an artist and loved drawing and in her spare time she enjoyed hiking and traveling.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lois was a devoted family woman. As a beloved spouse to John Jantzi, their love story was a testament to the power of commitment and unwavering support. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Lois will be deeply missed by her adoring children, Crystal (Seth) Kanaskie, Derrick (Nichole) Jantzi, Adrienne Jantzi, and Michael Jantzi. Her legacy of love will also endure through her beloved grandchildren, Avery Kanaskie, Kellon Kanaskie, Declan Jantzi, and Breck Jantzi. In addition to her immediate family, Lois leaves behind her dear siblings, Sara Leaman, Rachel (Loren) Johns, Jim (Sheryl) Leaman, Ken (Judy) Leaman, and Ron (Joyce) Leaman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Witmer.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023, in Lois's memory at the Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA 17584
