Linda Propst

Linda Mae Back Propst, 82, of Grottoes, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Bridgewater Retirement Community.

She was born on March 3, 1943 and was a daughter of the late Charles William and Willadene Evers (Hess) Back.

Linda attended Dunsmore Business College and worked as a cook. She was an active member of the Grottoes Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed playing solitaire and bingo, loved horses, rodeo's and in her younger years she Jousted. She loved creating family wherever she went.

Linda was united in marriage to Leroy Virgil Propst, Sr. who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Faith Cayton, Sandra Menzies & husband James, Leroy Propst, Jr., Samuel Propst & fiancée Maryann; her grandson, Ricky Cayton, Jr. & wife Amber; her great grandchildren, Nickole Cayton and Karsyn Cayton; two sisters, Virginia McNeely and Carol Howdyshell; and brother, David Back; family by choice, Joyce Keith, Tammy Gibbs, Debbie Munson and Keith Harper.

A service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Grottoes Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tim Munson officiating.
