Linda Lou Kimble

Linda Lou Kimble, age 68, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Sentara RMH in Harriosnburg, VA. She was born on January 18, 1955, in Philippi, WV, the daughter of the late Oliver Duke and Evelyn (Sinsel) Weaver. 

Linda attended Philip Barbour High school and Mountain View Church. She was a member of Franklin Moose Lodge #769. Linda had worked as a caregiver and as a contract flagger for WV Paving and other companies for many years. 

Linda's passion was being a Mom to her children and “Mawmaw” to her grandchildren. She was a wise, fun, loving, supportive and high-spirited Mom and Mawmaw, whose legacy will live on through her family. 

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Stephanie Wentz Keplinger of Petersburg, WV, Melissa Dawn Wentz Anderson Franklin, WV, Katrina Winans Wagoner (Rick) of Franklin, WV; a son, Roger Lee Wentz of Franklin, WV; 2 sisters, Ann Pyles of Grafton, WV, Jean Jones of Ohio; 2 brothers, Mark Allen Weaver of Philippi, WV, Michael Weaver of Grafton, WV; 10 grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey, Casey, Destiny, Ryleigh, Cayden, Curtis, Braden, Alayna, and Allison; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ace, Wylder, and Wrenley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 5 brothers, Perry Weaver, Jeffrey Weaver, Jackie Weaver, Eddie Skidmore, and Ronald Skidmore.

Linda's family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Barbour Memorial Cemetery, Philippi, WV, with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating.
