Lillian B. Richmond

CHURCHVILLE – Lillian Catherine (Bosserman) Richmond, 88, passed away Tuesday (July 30, 2024) in her home.

Born June 13, 1936 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of Lonnie Robert and Dollie Marie (Smith) Bosserman. Lillian was employed by Cargill (formerly Rocco) for over 30 years prior to her retirement in 2001. She was an avid flower gardener and a faithful member of Lighthouse Church.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester Floyd Richmond; brothers Robert Pinkney Bosserman, Herbert Kenton Bosserman and Lester Blair Bosserman; and sisters Beulah White and Hazel Anderson.

She is survived by a sister, Nellie Mitchell and her husband Ronald of Churchville; niece and caregiver Patricia Wheeler and her husband Steven, special niece and nephew Crystal Lamoy and Timothy Lamoy; and many other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 5 in Lighthouse Church, officiated by Pastor Harold Wade. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Timothy Lamoy, Steven Wheeler, Ronnie Bosserman, Robert Bosserman Jr., Kenneth E. “Buddy” Bosserman, Kenneth M. Bosserman, Willie Bosserman Jr., and Alvin Bosserman.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 Sunday, August 4 in Bear Funeral Home.
