Leonard Edward Shull

Leonard Edward Shull, 86, of Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at VMRC.

He was born in Rockingham, on April 19, 1937 and was a son of the late Elmer and Loma (Howdyshell) Shull. On February 14, 1970 he was united in marriage to Lula (McCray) Shull, who survives. Leonard attended and graduated from North River High School. Leonard had worked at Rockingham Livestock Sales for many years before becoming a farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Connie (Jeremy) Long, Kenny Shull, Tommy (Robin) Shull, all of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Cody Woods, Chase Shull, Gunner Shull, Tallen Martin, Haven Shull, Mason Long. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Helen Shull, Anna Sanger, Mary Alexander and brothers Johnny, Leo, and Otho Shull.

Friends and family may visit Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater to sign the book between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Spire officiating.
