Kenneth L. Young

Kenneth L. Young, 90, of Staunton, VA passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2024 with his family by his side. 
He was born in Paterson, NJ, raised his family in Franklin Lakes, NJ and has been a Staunton resident for 32 years. 
Ken is survived by Evelyn --his wife of 64 years, and his three children Elaine Bradford (Glenn) of NJ, Brenda Mowery (Harold) of AK, and David Young (Beth) of VA. He also leaves four grandchildren, Andrew Bradford, Dennis Bradford, Tanner Martakis and Kate Young. 
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Louis Young, and sisters Lois Casaleggi and Beverly Winslow. 
Ken served proudly in the U.S. Naval Air Force and was a banker by profession.  In his retirement he continued his love of gardening.  Ken volunteered for 20 years driving a shuttle bus at Augusta Health.  He will be lovingly remembered and missed as the kind, thoughtful gentleman he was. 
A celebration of life/memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 2807 N. Augusta Street, Staunton, VA with Rev. Carl Troast officiating.  A time for visiting and a light lunch will follow. 
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make memorial contributions are asked to donate to your favorite charity.   
Graveside service for family will be at a future date at Culpepper National Cemetery.
