Kathryn Kay (Harcrow) Profitt

Kathryn Kay (Harcrow) Profitt, 82, widow of Henry Harrison Profitt, Jr., of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Hospice of the Piedmont Hospice House in Charlottesville. 
Mrs. Profitt was born in Dekalb County, Alabama on September 9, 1942, a daughter of the late Homer Stetson Harcrow and Mildred Pauline (Williams) Harcrow. 
Kathryn was a member of Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed time with friends and sharing her love of singing at local nursing homes, spreading warmth and kindness wherever she went. Above all, Kathryn cherished the time spent with her family, with a special love for her grandsons and great-grandsons, who brought her immense joy. 
In addition to her parents and husband of 45 years, Mrs. Profitt was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Harcrow, Harold Ruban Harcrow, and Glenn “Moon” Harcrow; and two sisters, Betty Drecoll and Shirley Williams.
Surviving, is a son, Steven Neal Profitt of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Jennifer (Profitt) Lobban and her husband, Brian of Afton, VA; a brother, Nick Harcrow and his wife, Linda of Rainsville, AL; a sister, Roberta Henderson of Chattanooga, TN; three grandsons, Clint Lobban and his wife, Madelina, Brandon Lobban and his wife, Tiffany, and Christopher Lobban and his wife, Catie; three great-grandsons, Ray, Titus, and Timothy Lobban; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Valley Baptist Church by Pastor Frank Hall and Mr. Nick Harcrow.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro. 
Active pallbearers will be Clint Lobban, Brandon Lobban, Christopher Lobban, Jonathan Hishman, Stan Thompson, and Ron Loveland. 
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to Hospice of the Piedmont Hospice House, 501 Park St., Charlottesville, VA 22902.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
