Karen Elaine Burkholder

Karen Elaine Burkholder, 66, of Keezletown, died December 4, 2025.

She was born February 22, 1959 in Harrisonburg, the daughter of Leah and Mahlon Horst. She grew up in Page County and spent several years serving with Northern Youth Ministries in Ontario Canada.

On May 27, 1984, she was united in marriage to Dale Burkholder, they were married for 35 years. Together they attended Truth Light and Life Mission in Penn Laird. She dedicated most of her life to being a mother and homemaker

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolina Star, husband Dale, and parents Leah and Mahlon

Karen is survived by 4 sons, Anthony of Keezletown, Bradley of Harrisonburg, Joshua of Athens, Greece, Andre, Daughter-in-law Rebecca and granddaughter Violet of Hinton, 2 brothers, Kenneth (Sue) of Harrisonburg, Gerald (Marjo) of Ohio and a sister Judith (Pablo) of Ohio

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater Friday the 12th from 5 to 8

Funeral service to be held at Weavers Mennonite church at 1 o'clock Saturday the 13th, with ministers Mahlon Riehl and Ken Horst officiating, burial to follow at Pike Mennonite Cemetery.
