John Moore

John Allsbrook “Brooke” Moore, 75, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Augusta Health, Fishersville, Virginia. He was born on February 6, 1950 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, son of the late Andrew Taylor Moore, Sr. and the late Mary Dare Allsbrook Moore.

Brooke retired from Sears in Staunton and for many years was associated with Ingleside Golf Resort and Conference Center, Staunton. He was a member of Ladd ARP Presbyterian Church where he held many offices. As a proud UVA Alumni he closely followed UVA sports.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pamela Vest Moore; his two sons, Christopher Lee Moore and his wife Melissa of Stuarts Draft and Brian Allsbrook Moore of Fishersville; his brother Andrew Taylor “Kip” Moore, Jr. of Richmond; his three grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Moore, Zachary Allsbrook Moore and Joanna Rose Moore.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, Virginia.

Committal Services will be held Saturday, at the Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Home, Scotland Neck, North Carolina with burial in Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, Scotland Neck, North Carolina.
