Jerry Anderson Chittum

Jerry Anderson Chittum, 85, widower of Kathleen Helen (DeMott) Chittum, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at his residence. 
Mr. Chittum was born in Augusta County, Virginia on March 9, 1938, a son of the late Lacy and Gracie (Cash) Chittum.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Alcoa. He enjoyed playing poker, family and having a good time. 
In addition to his parents and wife of sixty-four years, Mr. Chittum was preceded in death by his siblings, Buela Cash, Lizzy Crickenberger, Luella Shuey, Connie Blackwell, Marshall Chittum, and Pauline Chandler; and a niece, Cassie Blackwell. 
Surviving, is a sister, Alice Huffman and her husband, Benny; sisters-in-law, Irene Hazlett and Robin Altenberg; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Luke B. Smith.
