Jennifer "Ginger" (Hill) Rosen
Jennifer "Ginger" (Hill) Rosen, 65, of Timberville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Life Care Center of New Market. She was born on February 8, 1960 and was a daughter of the late Lyle Hill and Frances Skinner Hill.
Ginger spent her entire life in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, graduating from Turner Ashby High School in 1978 and then Denard's Beauty College. She became a licensed professional hairdresser in 1980. After working in a number of salons in Harrisonburg, Ginger opened her own business, The Cutting Edge, in 1991. She was a sweet kind-hearted soul with a beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes. Everyone loved her and many of her clients had been with her for 20 or 30 years when she retired in March, 2022 due to health issues.
Ginger was very artistic and creative. She always viewed her work as a hairdresser as her art. She and Mike enjoyed antiquing together and she often found unusual treasures that she used to decorate her shop and home. Mike's children and grandchildren adored her. They enjoyed family holidays and camping trips together. Of all the nicknames she had, her favorite was GiGi bestowed on her by Mike's grandchildren. Ginger loved ALL animals, but especially her cats.
Ginger is survived by her loving fiancé, Mike Howard; sister, Lori Clouse; nephew, Jase Clouse; cousin, Becky Eberly; her honorary children: Jessica and Kris Shapiro, Keith and Jordin Howard, grandchildren: Owen, Annabelle, Corbin, Wyatt, and Amelia; and Katie the cat. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Our Angel finally has her wings!!
We want to give a special "thank you" to all the healthcare providers who cared for Ginger at Shenandoah Terrace and LCC of New Market over the past year and a half.
The family invites friends to join them for a service celebrating Ginger's life on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Bridgewater with Rev. Steve Bird officiating.
