Jayne Ward (Siron) Shifflett
Jayne Ward (Siron) Shifflett, 79, widow of Lacy Vance Shifflett of Staunton, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Mrs. Shifflett was born in Staunton, Virginia on March 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Otis Ward Siron and Margaret McClung (Carroll) Siron Booth.
Mrs. Shifflett was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and retired from First Citizens Bank where she was employed as a teller. Jayne enjoyed flower gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid country music fan, especially listening to the Statler Brothers and Marty Robbins.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Wayne Shifflett of Staunton; two daughters, Tanya Lynn (Shifflett) Mason of Waynesboro and Bethany Jo (Shifflett) Supinger of Staunton; a sister, Margaret Faye “Peggy” (Siron) Peyton of Churchville; five grandchildren, Holly E. Wilson, Caleb B. Scott, Faith G. Supinger, Hanna K. Shifflett and Joseph B. Supinger; three great grandchildren, Haley G. Wilson, Tyler R. Booth and Elizabeth M. Booth and extended family members.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Sherando Community Church by Pastors Billy Coffey and Darren Howdyshell.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship with a meal provided by the women of the church.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
