James Franklin Swink

James Franklin Swink, 70, of Grottoes, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his home.

He was born on October 27, 1955, and was a son of Paul Junior Swink, Jr. and Lorraine Catherine (Craun) Swink.

Frank had worked as a Salesman.

Two of his greatest joys in life were his family and his music. Whether he was playing in his band or just listening to some songs on the radio, music and his family were his passion.

Frank was in a loving, committed relationship of 30 beautiful years with his sweetheart, Edie Mellick who survives.

Frank is also survived by two daughters, Heather Mauzy and Bethany Perez; two brothers, William Swink and Michael Swink; three sisters, Sharon Morris, Nora Laminack, and Lori Swink; five grandchildren, Jaydrin, Aubrey, Nakiyah, Romeo, II, and Brielle; and a nephew, Austin Brogan and his wife, Casey Lantz; and numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Rankin.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service, Grottoes Chapel.
