Jacob Cabell

Jacob Dan Cabell, Senior, 76, of Waynesboro, Virginia, departed this life surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born November 20, 1948 in Nelson County, a son of the late Frank and Nellie Cabell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Bertha Cabell, Mary Ruth Cabell, Pauline Spinner, Euphemia Cabell and Verlice Lovely Turner; his brothers, Nathaniel Cabell, George Cabell, John Cabell and Tom Cabell.

Jacob was a graduate of Nelson Memorial High School and a Deacon and member at Elk Hill Baptist Church, Wintergreen, Virginia.

Jacob leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 55 years, Actline Turner Cabell; his son, Jacob Dan Cabell, II; his sisters, Ernestine Austin (Carol) and Marie Harris; his special aunt, Lucy DeShieds; his two sisters-in-law, Connie Clark of Afton, Virginia and Anna Pannell of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, conducted by The Rev. Lloyd Feggans. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.
