Ignacio (Eggy) Aizcorbe
Ignacio (Eggy) Aizcorbe of New Hope, Virginia went to be with the angels on Monday November 17, 2025 at the Shenandoah House. He was also known as “Iggy”, “Animal” and other nicknames. Eggy was born in Nicaro, Cuba on September 23, 1955 to the late Oscar Aizcorbe and Gloria Aizcorbe of Cuba.
Eggy’s passion was all things music and he played in several local bands over the years. He was part of the band that played in Pink Floyd’s The Wall production in conjunction with a local school. He played the guitar and keyboards. He also was a stage hand and rigger, a member of the IATSE union working concerts in Roanoke VA and beyond and later travelling across North America working for James Thomas Productions setting up festivals and major sporting events. His greatest joy was playing music with friends.
In addition to his parents, Eggy was preceded in death by his grandparents. Surviving Eggy are his siblings, Oscar Aizcorbe (Lisa), Ana Aizcorbe, Gloria Kimball (Corey), and Stella Aizcorbe (Julie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews Matt, Allison, Stephene, Katie, Kristen, Zac, and Kriste and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the many friends he had that were family to him.
A celebration of life will be held in the future.
The family would like to thank Nicole and Ashley of the Hospice of the Shenandoah for the exemplary care they provided to Eggy and the valuable support to the family. Very special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Shenandoah House for the exceptional care provided
