Heidi Marie Shifflett

Heidi Marie Shifflett, 53, of Grottoes, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

She was born on October 25, 1971 and was a daughter of Truman Shifflett, of Harriston, and the late Monika (Pabst) Shifflett.

Heidi lived life fearlessly, with a heart of gold that touched everyone she met. She never knew a stranger, welcoming all with warmth and kindness. Children adored her, and animals found a true friend in her care and compassion. Stubborn in the best way, she stood firm in her beliefs and fought for what she loved. The outdoors was her happy place, where she found peace and adventure. Heidi dedicated countless hours volunteering with the Grottoes and Waynesboro Rescue Squad, always ready to lend a helping hand. But above all, she was most proud of her son and his racing achievements, cheering him on with support and love.

Heidi is survived by a son, Jakob Wimer; a sister, Pamela (Carl) Fisher; grandson, Westyn Wimer; a niece, Candace Randall; nephew, Brian Randall; good friend, Jo Plaster; beloved pets, Punkin, Chloe, Bella, and Otis.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a nephew, Kweli Pouncey.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grottoes Volunteer Fire Department and/or the Grottoes Rescue Squad..
