Harry Milson Kellam, Jr.

Harry Milson Kellam, age 90, passed away on May 3rd, 2024, in Bridgewater, VA. He wasborn on June 5, 1933, to Milson and Nanny Bet Tyler Kellam in Norfolk, VA.

Harry graduated from Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music and embarkedon a career in teaching High School music, which included leading the Marching Band.Music was a cornerstone for Harry and his beloved wife, Barbara Jean. Apart fromteaching, they enjoyed attending concerts, Marching Band Competitions, and singing inthe Church Choir. After teaching, Harry transitioned to a successful sales career,running a business from his home in Dayton alongside Barbara Jean. He retired in 1998after representing Avotek, an aviation company based in Bridgewater, VA.

Harry was an active member of various men's ministries, including hosting a weekly Men's Prayer breakfast in Dayton and being a trained Stephen Minister. For many years, he and Barbara Jean were devoted members of Cooks Creek PresbyterianChurch, where they sang in the choir. Harry also participated in other churchcommunities throughout the valley.

In his leisure time, Harry and Barbara Jean traveled the country on their motorcycle andtook many trips to Europe with friends. He indulged in woodworking, golfing, barbershopchoruses, and spending quality moments with family at their lake home in SmithMountain Lake. His passion for motorcycles was well-known, and he often rode aroundBRCC on his scooter with his cherished dog, Scooter, along for the ride.

Harry is survived by his Sister Reverend Patricia Kellam, four children Greg and PatKellam, Pam and Mike Estes, Dawn and Chad Barnett, David Kellam, 7 Grandchildren

Adam Kellam, Hunter Barnett, Carter Wood, Aaron Barnett, Erica Foltz, Harry Kellamand Grayce Anne Kellam and nine Great-Grand Children.

He was preceded in death byhis parents, Milson and Bet Tyler Kellam, and his beloved wife, Barbara Jean RuebushKellam.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Lantz Chapel of the Bridgewater Retirement Community.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service.
