Griffin Wise Strother

Griffin Wise Strother Sr., 81, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

He was born on December 19, 1943, and was a son of the late Rastus H. and Tessie E. (Crawford) Strother.

Griffin was united in marriage to Sarah (Rankin) Strother, who survives.

Griffin is also survived by three children, Darlene (Tommy) Fergerson, Griffin (Terry) Strother, Jr, and Thomas (Morgan) Strother; sisters, Gloria Moats, Nancy Moats, and Karen Hall; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Strother.

No formal services are scheduled at this time.
