Gregory Shifflette

Gregory “Scot” Shifflette, 57, of Waynesboro, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born in Waynesboro on November 13, 1966, a son of Caroline Ann Redifer and the late George Cleveland Shifflette.

Scot graduated from Waynesboro High School and attended Radford College for two years. He worked as a Service Attendant with Exxon Gas Stations. Fishing and camping were a few of his favorite hobbies.

In addition to his father, Scot was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wallace and Kay Snead and his paternal grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Shifflette.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his children, Steven Shifflette and Jessica Shifflette; grandson, Eligah Shifflette; step-father, Timothy Redifer; siblings, Joey Leggette and Deny Mcbee and husband, Shane; special friends, Robbie Zakaib and Terri Shifflett; as well as many nieces, nephews, and adoptive grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Valley Covenant Church, 291 Hopeman Parkway, Waynesboro, with Pastor Jerry Steele officiating.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Waynesboro Police Department, Waynesboro First Aid Crew, and Augusta Health for their life saving measures.
