Glenn R. Griffin

HARRISONBURG - Glenn Roy Griffin, 93, of Glennview Farm, Mt. Sidney, died Saturday (December 11, 2021) in Brookdale Senior Living, Harrisonburg.

Born August 31, 1928 in Washington, D.C., Glenn was a son of Roy Truman and Helen Catherine (Bladen) Griffin. He was founder and owner of Biltmore Construction Company where he was a builder and carpenter and responsible for many structures in the area. After retirement he enjoyed farming. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theola May (Myers) Griffin and a sister, Adonah Townshend. Surviving are two children, Michael Glenn Griffin and wife Cindi, and Deborah Sue Griffin, both of New Market; a sister, MaryAnn Kuplerski and two brothers, Douglas Griffin and wife Doris and Leroy Griffin all of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Proctor and husband Scott, Joseph Glenn DiGuardo and wife Maggie, Michelle Star Bixler and husband John, Jesse Morgan Griffin and wife Angie, Elisa Nicole DiGuardo, John Griffin DiGuardo and wife Ali, Katherine Suzanne Griffin and fiancé Tom, and Lorraine Elizabeth Spence and husband Josh; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, December 18 in Mount Mary Cemetery located in Bath County.
