Glenn O. Humphrey

FORT DEFIANCE – Glenn Olden Humphrey, 83, formerly of Fort Defiance, passed away Thursday (January 29, 2026) in Brookdale Staunton.

Born December 1, 1942 in Augusta County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Gaye Hilton (Morris) Humphrey. He was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and completed barber school at Valley Vocational Technical School. He was employed by E.I. DuPont for 32 years prior to retirement.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann (Kirkpatrick) Humphrey; two sisters, Fonda Gaye Humphrey and Bonnie Thompson; and two brothers, Roger Dale and Gary Wayne Humphrey. Surviving are a son, Glenn Wesley Humphrey and wife Heather of Mt. Solon; a granddaughter, Cora Ann Leielle Humphrey; a great-niece, Halo Caul; and his long-time friend and companion, Gladys Howell.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 5 in Augusta Memorial Park, officiated by Revs. Kathleen Michael and Dave Ball. Pallbearers will be Jake, George and John Plumb, Travis and Scott Morris, Wess Wright and Jeff Kinkaid.
