Gary L. Cash

FISHERSVILLE – Gary Lane Cash, 69, husband of Diana Kay Cash, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024...

Gary was born in Staunton on July 31, 1954, a son of Charles Calvin and Gladys Lee (Shipe) Cash. He graduated from Buffalo Gap High School and proudly served in the U. S. Army for six years. He then embarked on a 25-year career as a Class A building contractor. He worked as a construction superintendent for Bastian Homes prior to full retirement. Gary was a life-long member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling – especially cruising the Caribbean – with his wife and family.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cash. Surviving are his mother, Gladys Cash of Churchville; his wife of 51 years, Diana Kay Cash; two daughters, Tonya Eutsler and husband Kevin of Churchville, and Michelle Gregory and husband Dale of Swoope; a sister, Rita Mahanes and husband Tim of Stuarts Draft; three brothers, Lee Cash and wife Kathy of Stuarts Draft, Steve Cash and wife Alicia of Stuarts Draft, and Robert Cash of Martinsville; grandchildren Savannah Mendoza and husband Garry, Adam Gregory and wife Hannah, Garrett Gregory, Kooper Smith, Easton Gregory, Gabby Cash and Hudson Gregory; and special friends Bill and Maryanne Bevens of Ohio and Kenny and Mona Loupe of Louisiana.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Friday, June 7 at Bear Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Todd Yoder and Rev. Janet Knott. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Community Church Cemetery, Swoope.
