Frederick "Lee" Branch
Frederick “Lee” Branch, 55, husband of Dana Gail Chittum Branch, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Branch was born in Waynesboro on December 24, 1968, a son of Albert Branch and Betty Ann Martin Mahanes.
Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking care of his dogs. He had a passion for sports and was a starter on the 1985 and 1986 Stuarts Draft Cougars Varsity basketball team. He loved football, especially the Riverheads Gladiators and coached little league football for many years. Lee was an outstanding husband and father and had many friends. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of thirty-two years are two sons, Justin Branch and his wife, Peyton and Chandler Branch and his wife, Emma; a brother, Kevin Branch and his wife, Merideth; aunts and uncles, Barbara Cunningham and her husband, David, Cindy Branch Chenault and her husband, Robert, Becky Branch Kipreos and her husband, Nick, Mike Willis and his wife, Judy, Sharon Perrine and her husband, Doug; nephews, Shaw and Jeb Branch; and numerous cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Pines Chapel.
